H&M X London College of Fashion - Designing for Sustainabilty

As newbies to London College of Fashion, my friend Sarah and I popped to the flagship store of H&M down Oxford Street for the Designing for Sustainability event. Our university and H&M kicked off London Fashion Week by celebrating sustainable fashion, something LCF is so passionate about. The project involved LCF students who explored the concept of circularity, creating a fantastic womenswear capsule collection.

Each textile piece and garment was produced using garments and materials provided through H&M’s in-store garment collecting scheme. The collection is on display in H&M stores across London during Fashion Week.

The creations were fantastic and awe-inspiring. My Textiles A-Level Student self was thriving, only wishing to still be in school to create similar pieces.

Though one must admit, the free glasses of prosecco just happened to steal the show...

Also stealing the show was this babe of a DJ!

I am wearing: Top - Pull & Bear, trousers - Topshop, bag - Zara, shoes - New Balance

Post-party, we found ourselves sobering up on a green juice.

What's your opinion on sustainable fashion?
